What better way to celebrate March than by shining a light on the incredible women in A&T and AV technology?

Writing this blog has been one of the most satisfying experiences because, at A&T, we take immense pride in supporting, and empowering the women who are shaping the future of AV.

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate them for who they are and the lasting impact they bring to the industry every day!

The AV industry is evolving, but there’s still a long way to go. Technology and AV have traditionally been driven by men, but the landscape is changing. According to AVIXA (Audiovisual Integrated Experience Association) https://www.avixa.org/ , while female participation at InfoComm India https://www.infocomm-india.com/ ,has grown over the years, women still represented only 13% of attendees in 2022. This underscores the need for more women to step into AV, take the lead, and drive the industry forward.

And at A&T, we’re proud to be driving this change. With 34.85% of our workforce being women, we are creating more opportunities for leadership, innovation, and growth in AV and technology. From design to development, operations to marketing, sales to support, finance to logistics, and innovation to customer experience, the women at A&T bring creativity, skill, and dedication to everything they do.

But real change happens when more women step into AV, and companies actively hire, open doors, and promote them in the industry. That’s why we’re committed to nurturing local talent and collaborating with educational institutions, ensuring that more women enter the AV space with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to lead.

Happily, organizations like AVIXA, are strengthening the presence of women in AV by providing certifications, networking opportunities through women’s council, events, and leadership development programs.

While companies like A&T strive toward equal opportunities, we hope more organizations move forward, uplift, celebrate, and leverage this untapped talent pool to drive the AV industry forward.
